Xinhuanet, Netherlands, April 17 (Reporter Wang Xiangjiang) The reporter recently learned from the Liberal Arts Office of the Chinese Embassy in the Netherlands that the Central Ballet of China will go to Helenfen City, Friesland Province, northern Netherlands in early June to hold a three-day performance at the famous Abelenstra Stadium.
It is understood that the Chinese and Dutch organizers attached great importance to this ballet performance, investing a lot of energy in the creativity, design, personnel, venues and equipment of the performance, and are committed to creating a Sino-Dutch cultural feast that integrates dance, lighting, sound, and Chinese and Dutch cuisine.
The Central Ballet will send a strong cast and crew, with more than 60 dancers. Unlike in the past, this performance does not choose the usual "Swan Lake" or "The Nutcracker". Instead, it is based on China's large-scale original symphonic ballet "Century". The repertoire is based on classic Chinese stories, including: Nuwa mending the sky, Yugong moving mountains, Jingwei reclaiming the sea and Kuafu chasing the sun.
Jan Van Elf, one of the organizers of the performance and an executive of the Dutch Elfin Entertainment Support Company, said in an interview with reporters that this ballet performance at the stadium is the first in the Netherlands, and the stadium has a larger capacity and more accessible tickets, which will provide more ordinary Dutch people with the opportunity to appreciate the beauty of Chinese ballet.
In addition, in order to make the performance more influential and close to the Dutch people, the organizers have carried out a number of creative and careful designs for the performance. First, a new band will be formed to take on the backing track of the performance. The band will be conducted by a Chinese musician, assisted by a Dutch musician, and members will be selected from music academies and orchestras across the Netherlands. Second, 60 outstanding dancers will be selected for the opening performance of about 20 minutes. They will present a variety of dance forms, including: classical dance, street dance, tango and modern dance. Finally, Chinese and Dutch chefs will jointly develop a special menu that integrates Chinese and Dutch regional cuisine to provide delicious food for the performance.
