From June 15th to 16th, the large-scale original Shanghai-style ballet "In the Mood for Love", co-created by top Chinese and French artists and performed by the Shanghai Ballet, will be performed twice at the Minnan Grand Theater, leading the audience to the bustling and romantic old Shanghai.
The large-scale original ballet "In the Mood for Love" is a large-scale modern ballet created by the Shanghai Ballet on the basis of introducing and absorbing foreign experience. It tells the story of a pair of lovers who fell in love but could not come together in the 1930s. The play premiered in 2006 and has toured in Shanghai, Beijing, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Fuzhou, Ningbo and other places, and has visited Paris, France, which has been widely praised by audiences.
Unlike classical ballet, "In the Mood for Love" incorporates various dance elements such as ballet, jazz and folk dance, including colorful and energetic group dances, as well as delicate and implicit duet dances.
