The Central Ballet of China staged the famous Chinese choreographer Wu Zhushan's ballet "Ballade" at the Kennedy Performing Arts Center in Washington, D.C. on the evening of the 21st.

The day's performance was part of the "Ten Thousand Dreams: Asian Choreography Celebration" organized by the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. This celebration is the first art festival for Asian dance artists held by the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. It aims to bring together outstanding Asian dance artists from all over the world to celebrate the national cultural heritage and humanistic achievements of different countries and regions in Asia, and to enhance the influence of Asian culture in the United States.

The only Chinese group invited to the festival, the Central Ballet, which has appeared on the Kennedy Center in 2005, 2011 and 2019, will return in January to present the Chinese ballet "Chinese New Year" to American audiences.

"Ballade," a ballet piece choreographed by the late Chinese-American choreographer Wu Zhushan, premiered in China in May with music from the French composer Gabriel Faure's piano concerto of the same name, showing the charm of modern ballet in the romantic style.
