On the evenings of May 24th and 25th, two ballets, "The Return of Red Lingyan" and "Animal Carnival" will be performed on the stage of the Hunan Grand Theater respectively, suitable for audiences of all ages to watch.

The two ballets to be staged in Changsha were created in recent years by the Chongqing Ballet. Founded in 2012, the Chongqing Ballet is the only state-owned professional ballet company in Southwest China and one of the nine municipal-level troupes. Ms. Liu Jun, a national-level director and an expert who enjoys special allowances from the State Council, is the head and artistic director.

The large-scale ballet "Return to the Red Mountains" tells the story of 1940, when Mei Lian, who grew up overseas, returns to Chongqing to join her uncle and meets Tang Mingxuan, an underground member of the Communist Party of China who she once knew. After experiencing the bombing, Mei Lian was inspired and inspired by Tang Mingxuan, and in the face of the children of the mountain city who were getting stronger and stronger, she was determined to join the anti-Japanese national salvation movement. She actively raised the children in need, taught them ballet, and worked with Tang Mingxuan to prepare supplies for the Anti-Japanese War. At the beginning of the anti-Japanese fundraising benefit performance, Tang Mingxuan had to leave because his identity was exposed. Despite all her reluctance, Mei Lian still did her best to cover Tang Mingxuan's withdrawal, but her heart was never separated from him...

The ballet "Return to Hong Lingyan" restores the period of the Anti-Japanese War, the true experience of patriotic female artists with national feelings returning from overseas, going to the battlefield of anti-Japanese salvation, calling for national awakening and raising children in the Anti-Japanese War, reflecting the literary and artistic workers' perseverance to art during the war years, and their watch on the cultural context of the Chinese nation when the country was destroyed.

"Returning to Hong Lingyan" integrates folk dance elements in ballet, historical elements in modern plays, and Chongqing elements in international performances. It is an international literary masterpiece with a distinct Chongqing identity. The classic dance sections have different styles, combining rigidity and softness, and showing the beauty of ballet in pure beauty and shock. The dance style restores the style of old Chongqing, and the scene dances such as Xiushan Flower Lantern, Mountain City Rain Lane, Cheongsam Charity Performance, and Tracker Man show a strong Bayu style.

The play was selected for the National Art Fund's 2020 stage art creation funding project, and many of the main creators served as the music and costume creation design tasks for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

The fairy tale ballet "Animal Carnival" is a parent-child fairy tale ballet. The play subverts tradition, fuses ballet art with interesting fairy tales, and is tailor-made for parent-child families. It uses elegant art to infiltrate childlike innocence, ingenuity, education and entertainment. Once staged, it quickly comes out of the circle, and is deeply sought after by parents and dance fans.

The dance drama mainly tells the story of Belle, a kind and beautiful girl next door, who falls asleep when she goes to the forest to pick mushrooms. In her sleep, Belle turns into a TUTU rabbit wearing a TUTU skirt. The friendly bluebird tells her that to change back to Belle, she needs to do a lot of good things in the forest, help others, and get the blessing of the Snow Prince. So, TUTU Rabbit starts her fantasy journey in the forest to help others...
