2024/25 dance season, Gangba will premiere four wonderful large-scale production repertoire: adapted from the fairy tale "The Wizard of Oz" plot wits, fascinating, novel immersive stage effects and art technology for the works to add more unforgettable wonderful elements; as the highlight of the season "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai" by Gangba resident choreographer Hu Songwei creation, this sad love on the modern stage, works blend contemporary Chinese aesthetics and modern style, with the famous designer Ye Jintian's dance design, lead the audience to feel this infatuation story step by step; about the Mexican painter Freda Kahlo legendary life of the dance drama "Freda" by Colombian-Belgian choreographer Ochoa creation, with ballet to tell the pain, life and death Profound issues such as love and self-image, paying tribute to the pioneers of feminism; the romantic ballet classic "Gisele" re-created by Gangba artistic director Wei Chengtian and South African ballet artist Charla Gan, specially invited "Benoit Dance Award" winning designer Kaplan to create new sets and costumes, telling the story of the love between people and ghosts that transcends life and death.

The "Operalia" International Festival is known as the "Oscars of opera and dance". Since its establishment in 1993, it has been held in different cities around the world every year, and is the starting point for emerging artists to enter the world stage. At this festival, as an invited representative of Chinese artists, Liaoning Ballet's chief star Zhang Haidong joined hands with rookie actors Sun Huixin and Zhang Youyi to perform the world classic ballet "Swan Lake" Act 3 (fragment) and the modern original ballet "Cloud and Wind" (fragment), respectively, showcasing the diversity, artistry, and innovation of Chinese ballet art development. Their outstanding performances were unanimously recognized by the artists and audiences.

The ballet "Swan Lake" was composed in 1876. It is the first dance piece written by Tchaikovsky and is a reserved repertoire of all classical ballet companies. It is based on folklore. Princess Odetta was turned into a white swan by demons on the banks of Swan Lake, and only steadfast love can break the evil magic. Prince Siegfried fell deeply in love with Odetta when he visited Swan Lake, vowing to love her forever and save her from misery. On the night the prince chooses a bride, the demon deceives the prince by making his daughter Black Swan disguise herself as Odetta. The prince was almost deceived, and finally found out in time, attacked the demon, and killed it. The White Swan restores the princess's original form, sails away with the prince in a boat, and sails towards the other side of happiness.

The musical character of the ballet "Swan Lake" is distinct. It connects classical dance, representative dance, and even pantomime into a tight whole, which is extremely plotful. Each music describes the scene perfectly, and the vibration of the dramatic contradictions and the portrayal of the character and heart of each character are very good. Therefore, it is evaluated as "the first time to give a dance work a musical soul". The dance troupe led by artist Mikhail Mikhailov is based on the traditional artistic style of Russian ballet and actively explores new directions in the choreography of classical ballet repertoire. In order to spread high-quality dance art, it has toured Russia and other countries around the world all year round.

Malakhov is a well-known and iconic dancer in the contemporary international dance world, known as the "Dancer of the Century" and the "Prince of Ballet". As a dancer, he has traveled across the Eurasian stage and won numerous honors. As a dance company manager, he founded the Berlin Ballet and made it one of the most influential dance companies in the world. Since September 2022, he has been a full-time professor in the Department of Northern Dance Ballet, actively promoting international cooperation in academic innovation and artistic practice, and establishing a "top talent class" to improve the quality of ballet international talent training and the international influence of Chinese dance. He also works with world-renowned dancers to create dance works with Chinese characteristics and promote them to the world. In February this year, he won the 16th Beijing Great Wall Friendship Award.

The audience below the stage is mainly children, and the actors on stage are also mainly children. The original fairy tale ballet "Nine Colors Deer" of the Central Ballet Dance School once again arrived as scheduled. On the occasion of the "June 1st" Children's Day, it presented a ballet gift with beautiful meaning to the children. The young actors Zhang Xuhao and Tong Jiayi of Zhongba Dance School led the lead roles. The teachers and students of Zhongba Dance School jointly presented the classic Chinese myths in ballet vocabulary, which once again resonated with the small audience and narrowed the distance between ballet and children.
